Day 4 – Queenstown

Our second day in Queenstown was really a rest day for both of us. I have been doing all of the driving so far, and Sheena has been a great navigator, reversing helper, and all round star for booking us in to camp sites.

Talking of which, we have stayed at three campsites in New Zealand so far, and all of them have been spotlessly clean, with great amenities. I have genuinely been impressed with the high standards maintained by each campsite. Long may it continue for the duration of our holiday and beyond!

Since today is all about rest, the most strenuous (and best) thing we did was head back up to the Queenstown Skyline, and enjoy a wee spot of lunch. Along with great food, and great value too, were some more jaw dropping views of Queenstown:-

Queenstown is worth a visit to see The Remarkables alone. Combine that with spectacular views of Ben Lomond (Yes, they have their own Ben Lomond out here), and the Richardson Mountains, you can see why thrill seekers and scenery lovers come to Queenstown.

Next stop – Wanaka.
