Day 17 – Auckland

Our explorarions didn’t really take us very far, as we’re both felling pretty tired now. However, we did have a wee wander around Auckland’s city centre to plan ahead for tomorrow. We got as far as this church …

And gave up! Well, not quite. We found a very, very good sandwich bar for lunch, which served the most amazing bagel sandwiches I have ever tasted. We may have to swing by there again before Friday! After a spot of planning (or lack thereof) of Thursday’s adventures, we retired back to the hotel for some rest.

Afterwards, we met up with some friends of Sheena’s and had a great meal down in the harbour area of the city centre. It was lovely to meet these wonderful peeps for the first time. They made us feel very welcome in their company, and I look forward to when we can be the gracious hosts when they visit Scotland again. Cheers Joe and Alison for your hospitality!

Not too sure what we’re doing tomorrow, but I think a visit to Eden Park will be on the cards at some point.
