Buachaille Etive Mor bathed in the early autumn sunshine.

Life at 12mm in the West Highlands

Yesterday, I had the chance to get out and about in the West Highlands of Scotland. It was a gloriously sunny day (unusual for Scotland) which had a lovely autumnal feel about it.

Being based at Crianlarich for the evening, it gave me the opportunity to visit Buachaille Etive Mor during the day. It was also a very clear evening, so I headed to the Loch Tulla viewpoint later that night to gaze upon (and photograph) the night sky above the Loch.

I managed to shoot quite a few frames during the day, but the last ones I shot were the ones I was most pleased with. It’s the first time I’ve managed to capture the skies above Scotland on a camera. I’m really thrilled with the results I obtained, and I hope to shoot a lot more in the future.
